Redash builds the report by executing query on a single SQL datasource, so you cannot join data from multiple sources to build a coherent report
Business users have to work with SQL queries saved by data team. Any different ask leads to dependency on data team to create a different query.
Redash provides datasource connectors to primarily SQL databases. If you want to connect and integrate with other kind of datasources, you have to write custom scripts.
