Why the warehouse?

In computing, a data warehouse (DW or DWH), also known as an enterprise data warehouse (EDW), is a system used for reporting and data analysis, and is considered a core component of business intelligence. DWs are central repositories of integrated data from one or more disparate sources. They store current and historical data in one single place that are used for creating analytical reports.

To get started on Sprinkle Data, you need to configure the data warehouse where your data is already residing or where you want to integrate your data to. Sprinkle data is not a warehouse in itself, and your data is not moved to Sprinkle data. Sprinkle data provides connectors from various data sources to load data into your warehouse, and BI and reporting tools to analyze data on your warehouse. So, configuring your data warehouse is the first step to get started.

Sprinkle data supports Google BigQuery, AWS Athena, AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks, Apache Hive, Azure Synapse warehouses for you to configure. You can reach out to [email protected], if you are not finding your warehouse, or face any issue with configuring.

If you do not have a warehouse already, you can opt for Sprinkle data to create one and manage, and it creates and manages a Google BigQuery warehouse for you.

Or you can create the warehouse yourself with following guides
