Marketo

Marketo is one of the best in class marketing automation software, it simplifies the complexities in a buyer’s journey and provides proper measurable insights.

Sprinkle now supports Marketo as a data source. On clicking the “+sign”, a list of data sources pops up. In this case, Marketo is selected. A new Marketo data source is named and created.

In the connections tab, Client ID, Client Secret, Endpoint URL, Identity URL need to be provided before testing and updating the connection.

How to generate the credentials:

Create a Marketo account and in the admin section, click on “Users and Roles” on the left panel. Create a new role. Reveal the list of role permissions by clicking Access API. Post this, an API-only user needs to be created and associated (On clicking the checkbox) with the API role created in the previous step.

Create a custom application, Admin -> Launchpoint -> Create a new service. On providing the display name, service type, description and email. On clicking “view details” Client ID and Client Secret are obtained. Marketo Admin -> Web Services Panel -> Endpoint URL and below that Identity URL can also be found

In Add Tables, the user is required to select the type of report from a drop-down list which consists of Campaigns, Channels, Emails, Segmentations, etc.

In the Run and Schedule tab, the concurrency (number of tables that can run in parallel, a maximum of 7) can be set preferentially before running the job. The status of the job will be updated in the tab below once it’s complete. The jobs can also be set to run automatically by enabling autorun. By default, the frequency is set to every night. Frequency can be changed by clicking on More --> Autorun-->Change Frequency.
